CEGADOS POR LA ILUSIÓN DE UN ESPLENDOR INFINITO

 

En la serie REFULGENTIA queremos representar energías invisibles al ojo humano tomando objetos simples y temas en su forma más pura, capturando su singularidad a través del movimiento. Buscamos mostrar cómo todas las partículas se transforman de la realidad física hacia una nueva forma mediante la magia de la fotografía. Esto permite al espectador crear una conexión tangible e interrelacionarse con toda la materia, viva o muerta. La abstracción a través del movimiento es una manera poderosa de representar que nada es constante y que permanecer como espectadores ante la transformación negativa del planeta ya no debería ser una opción para ninguno de nosotros.

 

En REFULGENTIA cuestionamos la idea de omnipotencia que hemos llegado a creer que poseemos, dentro de una cultura cada vez más impulsada por el consumo, la producción acelerada y la interacción limitada. En la sociedad se cree que la felicidad proviene de poseer y de tener acceso fácil a todo. Esto ha creado la falsa creencia de que lo que existe permanecerá para siempre, confiando en que las acciones no tienen consecuencias.

 

Como artistas creemos en la estética, en el placer para la vista y el espíritu; creemos en representar el cambio y el impacto positivo que este puede generar. No buscamos dar respuestas a los problemas, sino simplemente ofrecer una estimulación visual a los espectadores sobre las esperanzas del ayer, los problemas del hoy y, ojalá, las cuestiones resueltas del mañana.

 

La serie REFULGENTIA nos invita a comprender que detrás de una fuerte coraza existe una criatura que no es omnipotente; el esplendor reside y brilla desde el interior. Creemos que para sobrevivir y prosperar necesitamos trabajar todos hacia una dirección común.

In REFULGENTIA series we want to represent energies invisible to the eye by taking simple objects and subject matter in their raw form and capturing their uniqueness in movement. We are looking to show how all particles become transformed from physical reality into a new form by the magic of photography. This permits the viewer to make a tangible connection and interlink between oneself and all Materia, living or dead. The abstraction through movement is a powerful way to represent that nothing is constant and being a bystander in the negative transformation of the planet should no longer be an option for any of us.

In REFULGENTIA we challenge the idea of omnipotence that we have come to believe to possess, in a culture more and more pushed for consumption, fast paced production, limited interaction. In society happiness is believed to come from possessing and easy access to all. This has created a blind believe that what is will for ever remain, trusting that actions dont have consequences.

​

As artists we believe in aesthetic, pleasure for the eye and spirit, we believe in representing change and the positive impact it may have. We are not looking to give answers to problems but merely a visual stimulation to viewers about hopes of yesterday, problems of today and hopefully, solved issues of tomorrow.

REFULGENTIA series asks us to understand that behind a strong carapace there is a creature that is not omnipotent, the splendour lies ans shines from within.

We believe that in order to survive and thrive we need to work towards a common direction.
